Sir Edward Young once said, "Time flies, death urges, knells call, Heaven invites, Hell threatens". These, are basically the "processes" of life. Life, is never a bed of roses, for it will never be comfortable. Some say that life is like a box of chocolates, as one will never know what he will get out from the box. Many things are solved through science and research, even the question which baffled many for generations. Yet, there is one that is yet to be solved, the way living. Life, to me is not the colour of one's skin, nor his pedigree, not even hardly his degrees. To me, it is what one does with his life that counts.
Life is too short for sorrows and regrets. Today one may be alive and jumping, and the next, he could be on his death-bed making his way to meet his maker. However, the question here is not when and how we pass on, rather it is what we do with our lives.Life has many paths and bridges, despite such huge variety of choices, it is never easy to choose the right ones. The theory of travelling up to the submit of a mountain greatly portrays life. Such that, there are many paths to the top, but only a single view from thee. I believe that one should enjoy life to its fullest extend while being alive, for we have plenty much more time to be dead in the later parts. Too many times, we have heard of people telling as to live life to its fullest. How then, do we live life to its fullest is the question. Perhaps, nobody knows the exact answer, as each of us will have our own opinion on how to live life to its fullest.
Life, is full of human sins, such as, greed, lust, sloth, envy, pride, wrath and gluttony.
Ever since man came to know about the power of money, it is never enough for him no matter how much he has. This is an example of greed. Man greed's so much that money has become an essential to his life. Nowadays, most adults would slog day and night, round the clock, just to earn to what seem to be enough for them. However, they are never satisfied, it would seem that the world revolves round money, humans work for it instead of making it work for them.
Next, lust. No doubt, everyone, including animals, posses the ability to reproduce, but man, when he finds it pleasurable, he craves for it. Men visit brothels, and women betray their bodies often just for the pleasure that they find in having sexual intercourse.
It is by nature that everyone needs breaks, and rest, however when man takes it excessively, he turns lazy. This, is known as an example of sloth. Then,he complains about having nothing to do, and being bored.
Envy, of which when man wants things which he cannot possess, all he can ever do is to envy.
Pride, in this twentieth century, everyone regard pride as confidence and related, but little are they aware that pride is a sin in disguise. Proud and very conscious about his image, he turns his nose away those he regard as inferior.
Gluttony, in which man eat food, drinks, and even others, gluttony is related to greed such that because man is never satisfied.
Finally, wrath, how many times do we hear people screaming, scolding, hurling insults, or rising their voices? If only humans, man, controlled their temper, would it not be a better place?
All these are just examples to show that each and everyone of us think of life differently. The truth is that life is more than money, qualifications and other materials. Do they not see that life is about love and all? After all, they say that it is love that makes the world goes round.
From my point of view, living life to its fullest would probably be love. Love, perhaps the most powerful word ever if one were to say it from the bottom of his heart and actually mean it. Life is not really about meeting others expectations, trying to be someone else. I feel that is is more about being oneself, because we came to existence with naught. No knowledge, no money, we came practically with nothing. So why do we trouble ourselves for money and power?
We lead our own lives, we all walk our own paths. In fact, nobody can tell us what to do and how to live our lives. Each and every one of us is an indivual. We have our own perception on how our lives should be. Love, is the essential of life. Everyone live for love, and love itself is all we really need.
In life there are many different kinds of love, ranging from parental, friendship to mutual. Love is able to give one strength and will. Leading a life with love one may not be successful materialistically, but if one is able to do things in life with love, he may not have as many regrets when he is upon his death-bed and besides, he would be able to produce good results. For example, one working in a field of his passion, he would be able to produce results of quality, comparing it to one who works in the same field without passion, his result may be produced in quantity, but not of quality. Despite this fact, reality still overwrites facts, because, no matter what, and regardless of factor of passion, the society still requires one to possess a high level of certification in academic before anyone embarks on his career.
Faith too plays an important part in Life. This is because, everyone wants to be recognised and be acknowledged, faith is a form of which one acknowledgeanother's existence. In fact, He too need the faith of mankind to existence, otherwise, if nobody believed in Him, well, he would cease to exist.
Although I believe that living life to its fullest is to enjoy it rather than working to meet others expectations, the world today has changed through evlovtion. From prehistoric times, when man had not known of knowledge and money, they lived on the basic principle of survival; to kill or be killed. Through evlovtion, man gained knowledge, thus leading him to think that he is superior to all others, this comes to be one of his weakness, perhaps, one day with this knowledge of his, man will cause his own downfall. It appears to me that the world today has changed. The greed for power, knowledge, money, and together with all the other sins, they seem to be dominating the world. If one day, man would understand that all these are mere materials of which he possess, and can never bring them with him to the other side of the dimension, he can forgo them, thus understanding that live is more than what meets the eyes. This, of course is merely my self perception on life. There is no right or wrong answer as to how to lead a meaningful and fulfilled life, for everyone is unique of his own, and we all view things from different angles.
We all came to this world with a finite number of breaths, every breath we take, we are one breath's way closer to our maker. Life is simply a journey which we embarks on, whether we like it or not. We may seem to have choices in life, but we do not have anything to choose, this is so true as to when we refer to our existence in this world. Had I had the choice to choose, I would have chosen not to be upon the surface of this earth. but with no choice, one has to complete this journey, walking the paths, crossing the bridges and trying all different routes of "choices", where only few are the right ones. This is reflected upon our mistakes made. In life, we make mistakes, but what matters is to learn from these mistakes, and not make them again. Then again, there is no correct life nor wrong life. Life as a matter of fact, is nothing but all complications placed together, the real answer to living life is within each and every of us, all so very differently from another. We, are after all,indiviuals. So, what do you want to do with your life?
