3. He gets to know you and your friends particularly finding out who is your good friend so that he can get to know more about you and be in your good friend's books. That way, she'd 'promote' him to you.

Sometimes signs that a guy is into you is a positive thing if you too are also into him. HOWEVER, there are times when his signals are not the kind you are expecting and rejection is harsh. Please remember, guys have feelings too. If you do reject a guy. Please use the most tactful and nicest way you can. But of course even if you nicely reject him and he doesn't get the message. Do not beat about the bush, tell him directly that you'd wish to stay friends but it was never an intention to be with him. Guys prefer direct talk rather than the complicated ways girls may work sometimes :)
